Combination Cosmetic Tattoo
Combo cosmetic tattoo is a semi-permanent way to tattoo your eyebrows with both techniques of ombre and nano. Giving you the ability to completely customise your new brows.
-
Combination is a type of cosmetic tattoo consisting of both nano and ombre techniques. It is created with a single needle in a machine. We use this machine to implant pigment in very fine strokes AND tiny dots to create a custom finished result however you’d like. Combo cosmetic tattoo is recommended for people that like the look of the shadow behind their brow (ombre) but also have sparse areas where hair doesn’t grow as much that we can add hair strokes too (nano).
We offer an extensive consultation to create the clients perfect set of brows. We focus on creating the most natural results that are specific to you to ensure the most undetectable transformation.
After the consultation, we map the brows using very specific measurements to ensure balance and symmetry. Client feedback is asked for during the whole process to ensure we are creating a set of brows you are happy to look at everyday.
During the tattoo process, we will go over the same area a number of times to build up the pigment in the skin, insuring it will last through the healing process.

PROS
Most commonly lasts 12-24 months until a touch up is needed.
Completely customisable depending on personal preference.
Suitable for dry-normal skin types.
Suitable for those with, minimal, sparse or lighter brow hair.
Can most commonly be used as cover up of older migrated tattoo.
CONS
Not ideal for oily skin types.
Not ideal for people with obvious gaps/holes in their brows.
-
Combination Brow Tattoo is suitable for clients who are looking for a soft and natural finished result but are after a little more fullness and definition than Nano. Combo is typically the technique i suggest to touch up a client who has older, blurred and faded microblading/nano brow tattoo because it covers the stroke blurring in the body with ombre but keeps the fronts softer with the nano.

How to take care of your new brows
Before bed on the day of your brow treatment, gently rinse your brows with warm water and dab dry with a tissue or cotton round. Then apply a light layer of balm with a clean finger across both brows, against the direction of your hair.
From the second day onwards, apply the supplied balm 4 times a day with a clean finger until the balm is empty (7 to 10 days). It should be a light gloss over your brow so that your skin can still breathe. Try not to apply too much at once as your balm has to last minimum 7.
DO NOT use Vaseline, Bepanthen or any other products in the performed area! If you lose your balm, please contact Zoe for a replacement, as other creams and ointments can cause brows to heal differently.
-
Saunas and steam rooms for 7.
Swimming for 7 days.
Direct sunlight for 7 days.
Sweating the day of your appointment. Only minimal sweating for 7 days after.
Facials and peels for 3 weeks (brow powders can be used after 2 weeks).
Using products through your brows for 2 weeks (foundation, cleansers, exfoliants, moisturisers, sunscreens, serums).

Day 1: Any redness or irritation will subside after 24 hours. You will notice the colour of the pigment will intensify for the first 7 days. This is because the pigment sitting on the surface, and your skin has not healed yet. Just a reminder, the first 7 days will not be the true colour of your new brows as they have not completely healed yet.
Day 2 - 5: Expect your brows to darken even more. It can also appear as if theres a thick layer over your brows. This is because we have created an open wound and your skin is excreting lymph to create scabbing just like any other wound on your body. Your brows may feel itchy as the skin heals. DO NOT scratch, pick or rub them as this can cause the removal or of your pigment.
Day 5 - 14: Some dry/flakiness will start to form over your brow and begin to crack and dissolve. This dryness will naturally begin to fall off. DO NOT scratch, pick or rub them as this can cause the removal or of your pigment.
Week 2 to 3: Flaking/dry skin should be done falling off if they haven’t already. After this has happened, the brows are expected to look light and sometimes patchy until after the 4 week mark. This is because there is still a layer of dead skin cells over the brow and because we have only completed one session.
Week 4 to 6: The true shape and colour of your brows should begin to reveal. Your brows will be fully healed and will be ready for your initial touch up at 6-8 weeks (6 weeks at the earliest). The initial touch up will implant the pigment further into your skin to ensure colour retention. During this visit, we will make any corrections if necessary.
Your new brow tattoo's retention and longevity can last 1-2 years on average until you will need an annual touch-up. This is depending on skin type, client lifestyle and care of brows. Exfoliation and sun exposure are the main factors that cause colour fading. Wearing an SPF50 daily (from 2 weeks post treatment) will help ensure your colour is protected from the sun.
Each client will respond to cosmetic tattoo differently - in regards to healing time and required touch-ups.
Zoe’s Approach
My approach to cosmetic tattooing is focused on creating soft, natural results that can be built over both your initial session and 6 week touch up.
I recommend a conservative first session, keeping the colour and density lighter to avoid going too dark or harsh too quickly. This allows us to refine the brows at your second session, where we can make adjustments, deepen the colour if needed, and tailor the final result to your preferences.
By taking a gradual approach, we maintain full control over the outcome, as it’s always easier to build intensity than to remove it once it’s been done.
